Winter News

All Resource Room students are continuing their reading with RAZ Kids both in school and at home. Students at each grade level have set individual goals for independent reading time.  Please check with your child and support them as needed for this home to school connection.

Currently, all grade levels are working on nonfiction units. Please feel free to pick up an educational article, book, or magazine to extend this at home and become an expert on a topic.

Throughout the year your child has been using Reflex Math (grades 2-5)  in class and should be logging in at home as well.  Each child’s goal is to receive a green light at least 3 times a week.   If you can encourage your child to earn more than 3 green lights a week that would be fantastic.   This practice will enhance and support their Math skills during instructional time.

You can also practice addition, subtraction and multiplication math facts (Grades 2 - 5) with your child regularly.  This skill enables them to achieve greater success on their math assignments.

Kindergarten students be sure to review your sights words every night.

Since all of our children have individualized programs, please feel free to reach out to us anytime.
